Since we started hiking, and particularly blogging about hiking, loads of people have asked, “Can we come?” Of course! This is how it works. Jessie and I sleep until we wake up on Sundays. Then we text each other. We eat breakfast. I drive to her house, pick her up, we get Subway from one of the only two Subways in Portland that doesn’t contaminate my sandwich (Woodstock and 45th or Burnside and 28th), and we head out. We generally have our hike picked out in advance.
